It’s that time of the year again.

UT1 starts this Thursday.

Strange .. I never recalled time to pass by so quickly.

Recently, I restarted on PES 2010 (it’s a Computer game on Soccer) and with the help of a modification (or Option File, as in the parlance of those who play this game), I updated the game’s content to feature the lineups for the 2010-2011 season (for the more well-known/prestigious clubs at least)

Unsurprisingly, I feel like a younger version of Monsieur Arsene Wenger already. The agony of conceding those “soft” goals (the kind where either I leave a player unmarked and he scores or I f*** up and open a hole for the enemy to score), the frustration when I cannot penetrate an enemy’s defense, the “WHAT!?” feeling that I have whenever one of my players (as usual, I’m playing Arsenal Football Club in the game’s Master League mode, which allows me to develop the team over the course of an entire soccer season and beyond) sends a rocket of a shot that beats the defense/keeper but not the crossbar!, etc etc (the list goes on ..)

And all this against just AI (computer) opponents .. ONLY. I haven’t even got to playing against real flesh-and-blood players yet! – it does not help when most of my friends are either the kind who like to command vast, virtual armies to their ends or those who likes the “personal” touch of putting bullets into someone’s head.

Oh well. That aside, there’s the long weekend (much thanks to Deepavali!) to look foward to, and the little trip up north with a certain Miss Jolynn to catch some seafood. I always end up HOR-LANing whenever I go there but hopefully (come to think of it, I always tell people that hope is for fools, so why the f*** am I hoping now!?), I’m more then familiar with the roads to avoid such .. difficulties.

In the meantime, it’s back to my Reflection Journal (RJ), and the question posed by a certain Miss Suzanne Ng
demands that I list out the key considerations in deciding the operations of a F&B outlet.

Inspiration, anyone?

I feel the itch to blog (or press, since it’s wordpress!), so .. here I am.

Thanks to the grooming guidelines set by Republic Polytechnic’s School of Hospitality, I have been very much forced to trim/layer + dye my hair back to black. Should have seen it coming though, considering that this is, after all, the school of HOSPITALITY .. yeah. That, and the phrase “you never have a second chance for a first impression” helped too.

In any case, GPA’s a 2.8 (coincidentally, that was my GPA back in ITE) so I have my work cut out for me in the days ahead.

And I’ve been living a rather sedate life with the usual assortment of journals, quizzes, games and friends keeping me company. Anyway, it’s just the second week of school and I have a feeling that the pace will pick up real soon ..

In the meantime, I think the dye on my hair is more or less complete. Which means a quick bath and tuning my channel to .. lalaland.

Just came back from a bit of rounding (wonders of a car!) and ..

I need to get back into shape. IPPT is coming and the bulge on my stomach is growing. LOL. And it doesn’t help when this two things don’t exactly gel with each other!

So here I am, waiting for the clock to strike 6. And then I’ll start tormenting myself. (Don’t really remember the source but exercise is actually a form of physical torture on your body!)

In the meantime ..

Next Tuesday will herald the dawn of another semester. Surprisingly, you would expect to know your results by now (which isn’t the case for me as for some reason, RP has been quite .. mum over this)

I wonder why.

And I’m really bored at the moment – my current contract as a “surveyor” (Basically, I’m supposed to keep track of the amount of people who queue to seek assistance of their bank tellers.) for DBS is VERY monotonous.

Gotta thank the heavens it’s only for 4 hours – I’ll probably end up at Buangkok Green if it’s any longer.

And I really need to use the toilet. Mother nature has been spam-calling me for the past hour now.

Online streaming isn’t working at the moment, so it’s back to ESPN Soccernet’s live update to keep me in the loop over Arsenal vs Chelsea. We’re down by 1, but I have plenty of belief in a draw.

PS: And just when I believed in a draw, a guy called Alex executed a stunning free kick and make Mr. Fabianski look like an absolute dumbf***.

Yet again, I haven’t blogged in quite a while. (Sadly?) to say, I seem to have grow .. detached towards blogging.

And it’s not helping when you don’t really have anything to write about as well.

But anyways – Exams are over, my holidays are fast coming to an end (a week more to go!) and … my bank account reads $3.21. (Nice no. though. )

FML, anyway?

Back in NS, I always looked forward to the day when I can drive a civilian vehicle.

Fast foward to today – Yep, I can drive BUT! It usually brings about groans of disapproval (from you-know-who!)

To top it all off, the hour spent travelling to school (and back!) is such a turn-off.

How nice if I can put 1 and 1 together and actually, for once, be able to drive to school.

Right. Time to .. start dreaming about it (it’s 2am now and if I don’t go to sleep anytime soon, I’ll probably be a zombie in class tomorrow.)

Nights.

Just woke up to the sound of my iPhone ringing, from a rather weird dream.

4 more minutes to go for my OCL (Slack at Home), so I best get ready then.

It’s been a month since I blogged.

Currently just slightly over 2/3 of the way into semester 2 in my 1st year in RP, and with UT2 (basically, they’re just some tests) cleared as well. While I hope for B’s, somehow, the means does not justify the ends – I never really did study (as in, the sit-down-and-cram-everything-into-my-brains kind of study) but just, a flip through here, a look-look-see-see there. Somehow, there’s this (misplaced?) confidence in me that I can actually make B’s out of .. nothing.

Interesting, huh?

Anyway, life is okay at the moment – apart from the shortage of money (as I’m not really working anymore), I guess I should be contented for the way things are. Back to the old-school (literally!) routine of friends, school and games.

Oh well.

I should really be asleep now but somehow, I feel very .. “energetic”. -.-

It’s been 3 months since I last updated this blog and .. I don’t have anything to write. (Actually, I do but it’s just that I have no idea where to start! -.-)

Oh well. I shall continue another day! (Gian song only!)
